Hatred By RKS.

For some reason RKS has generated a tremendous amount of hatred. Am I talking about people who played the game and don't like it? No. People who haven't played the game and don't like it? No. Church groups? Nope. Atheists? Nada. It is fans of RKS poisoning the internet with comments on forums and blogs.

Who are these fans? They are people that have appointed themselves the elite. Their words are the only opinions allowed. Their art is the only consideration. Their fanfics are the only just and true. They are the elite fans, or as I like the call them: the Magnificent Fans. (MFers for short.)

What are the MFers talking about? Pirates uploading the game to free download sites? No. People hacking the game and filling it full of viruses? Nope. People having taken credit for making the game? Nada.

The first thing that sets off these Magnificent Fans is fan art that they didn't create in the first place. They wouldn't call it crap, but they call it crap. They go to sites that host art and trash all that is not in the same exact style used in RKS. Completely ignorant of the fact that RKS uses several animation styles. Apparently the MFers never read any comic books. Often fan art is published in mainstream books. I flipped through an old issue of Sonic the Hedgehog. A page dedicated to people as young as ten able to draw really well, and those who don't draw so good. You see, the professionals at Archie appreciate their fans and the time and effort it takes to do fan art. And the bravery it takes to send off one's work to get reviewed that may never even get looked at in the first place. Posting on the internet is even braver. There are people who sole purpose is to take a dump on those who are not to the Magnificent Fans standards.

While on this subject, if you happen to have the Saturn Version Of Megaman 8, there is a fan art section. By the way, most of the robot masters Capcom chose are from fan art.

Now away from fan art and into the next item that sends the MFers into wild fits. They get out the venom-fuel flame cannons for this. What is it? Fanfics. You read that right. Fanfics. The Mfers hate fanfics they don't write themselves. Some of the stuff that is said goes beyond the pale. Rosie O'Donnell would tell these people to chill out. If you decide to give say Luste an older brother, you're a retard. (Their word.) You'd be lucky to get called just that.

You know all those Star Wars and Star Trek books? All fanfics. They are officially sanctioned, but that doesn't mean even Bill Shatner follows the exact characterizing of CPT Kirk.

The people that do the fanwork based on RKS are accused of distorting the game. That someone might happen across one of these fanfics is a complete idiot and not know what Google is. I do know and tried it out. Hilarity ensued. A couple of the people that were falsely accused of stealing RKS through their fanfics actually placed higher, A LOT higher, than the MFers forums. Now the Magnificent Fans will say "See, this proves it, we must seek out and destroy these retards (once again, I am quoting them) because they are ruining RKS!" You guys are smart, you tells us so all the time, and of course a smart person will listen when someone who wasn't sick the day the computer class talked about Google tells you about it.

One of the methodologies (I spelled that right one the first try) that Google uses to rank pages is what term or terms is used and what page is clicked on. So when the MFers trash a site, people actually look it up, and go there. What is written all over these sites? Why Rosenkreuz Stilette. Also Google ranks sites by what common search terms appear on the page. These sites that are trashed are chocked full of the phrase Rosenkreuz Stilette. Funny things is, go to the haters sites and Rosenkreuz Stilette rarely appears. So now you know another reason why I call them Magnificent Fans.

Now, I posit the theory that it is the MFers ruining RKS. Taking me for example, if I had seen some of this crap written by fans of other fans, I would have given up and never would have found out how to legally buy the game. I never would have found out how to hack the music.

We are all fans of RKS. We all have our on little ways of showing it. Some like drawing, some write, and some point of every little pixel that is a reference to another game. I am not asking we hold hands and sing "Kumbaya." I merely ask that we respect each other.

Hell, the guys that riffed "Artemis's Lover" respected the work and the guy who wrote it.

I find your use of MF to be highly offensive and inflammatory. That makes you no better than the people you talk about and I think it is what has caused all your trouble for the past many years.

It's not Massey Ferguson's fault that you paid several thousand dollars for one of their tractors at an auction only to find out its only redeeming quality was the new paint job. You didn't have to bid on it.

It's not Bob and Tom's fault you get upset at their Mr. Fister skit. Change the channel.

Even I have to say don't get pissed at MF Global. If you had done your research you would have discovered is was being run by a guy who when governor ignored his own state's laws and was injured as a result, got his medical care at the tax payers' expense, and never paid the fine that you and I would of had to pay. Then went on to be defeated by a republican in an overwhelmingly democratic state ONE YEAR after President Obama was elected with the biggest majority of votes ever.

Is my use of the phrase "Magnificent Fans" why Apple has yet to program their iDevices to keep background images fixed like they are supposed to be? That's been my biggest trouble. Don't get me started. I want to take all the hair I have pulled off my head and stuff it down Apple's throat.

Let me get a little serious here. When I first decided to go public with my little comic back in 2004. I knew I was going to get criticized. Deserved and undeserved. Factual and lies pulled out from where the sun don't shine. I've seen some of the stuff written about Dave Anez and the whole crew at Bob and George by what they thought were their friends. It was some very vile and disgusting stuff. Lemon fanfic writers would cringe at that stuff. I knew that would come my way at some point.

The practice of driving people off of the net by some site talking bad about you worked in the 90s and early 2000s because not all that many people were on the web and sites had a much more homogeneous fan base. Now even the most wacked out national socialist flat birther web site has a number of people going to them that disagree. They go there to laugh at the idiots. If one of those sites decides that they don't like me because I have a comic about two girls kissing and want to try and destroy some nasty-wasty blogger and his sprite comic hidden within the deepest, darkest, dankest, dorkest corner of the net, there's nothing I can do about it. Just keep in mind they might be sending someone to a place that site hates with a passion, that one person may wind up liking what they see.

That is until I offend that poor soul. Doesn't usually take all that long. Just about the amount of time it takes to click on, well, anything.

Instead of getting all ranty where no one will see it Why not go to some of these 'magnificent fan' blogs and tell it like it is.

I have seen those try that, and it always fails. The reason is because the people who run the sites I am talking about in this post, (I wrote such a long time ago,) believe very differently than me. I hold what I now know is a very lunatic and dumb point of view. That there is more than enough room on the internet for everybody that wants to be a fan, can be a fan, and in their own way. Sure there is stuff better off not ever having been thought up. Surely there is more than enough positive out there that we can shine the spotlight on. Apparently not. Instead it's focus on the negative and drag people through a cesspool of hate. Then they go to anonymous forums to disparage these kids level of intelligence. I saw an example of it last year. The same exact people that I'm talking about are still out cyberstalking and terrorizing kids over what? Because they can't draw a cross with straight lines? Instead of seeing the potential all they saw was someone needed to be destroyed. He tried, he tried to correct the record. It didn't work because those coming after him never cared about fact. All they cared about was lies and smears.

I admit I'm still a little worked up over it. Maybe it has to do with the fact that recently I had to dump a radio show I had been listening to for years. It was a very similar situation. The host and I agreed more often than not. Then over the last few years he spent far more time telling us that those of the opposite political philosophy, who in fact repeatedly lied to the American people, were “...men of principle.” Those on “our” side who we agreed with maybe 95% of the time were going to burn in hell because of that 5% disagreement. I emailed him several times to correct the record, never worked. He still spewed the same lies, hatred, and bigotry. At those on our side.

Look, I know me talking about it hasn't changed a damn thing. If these people still have some kind of need to to cyberstalk and terrorize kids, nothing is going to stop them. Let's be honest, RKS isn't the big deal it used to be. The vampire chick and the werewolf PI are the hot topics here.

What was your goal? Become the enemy of the rks fanbase by being a vulger loudmouth and whitenighting for fan fiction about a guy sucking a cat's dick? Understand that we need gatekeepers to prevent shit like that from becoming the norm. New fans maysee that and will think cat cock's and think that is what the game is all aboput. Mayvbe you should take your pwn advice and stfucku. You would have advoided so much trouble over the past severl years.

I need to make a couple quick points right now while I'm writing up my main points. In this article I used only one word that got Lenny Bruce arrested, and only once. Second, I officially called it quits on this blog a year ago. Two unofficially. I don't sign in all that often. Maybe only once a month, if that. Give me some time and I will eventually get around to properly responding.

My goal was to “...spew my bullshit off my brain.” (As Steve Austin so eloquently puts it.) When I first found RKS way back in 2009 the fan community was divided into three segments. One was a group that seeded torrents and download sites with copies of the game. Sure they thought they were doing the right thing at the time, that was the only way to get the game outside of Japan. There were those doing fan art and fanfiction. Some good and some not so good. Then there were those that for some reason chose to cyberstalk and terrorize children over their fan works.(For some reason they never went after the free downloaders.) Mostly what I saw in these kids was potential talent. I knew once all the potential had been purged and all talent had been cyberbullied into silence I would become the next enemy of the state for the crime of being a fan. That's why I've opted not to participate at all in any type of RKS fan community and just stick to my several hundred megabytes of space hidden in the deepest, darkest, dankest, dorkest and rarely ever visited corner of the Net. Why would rich one-percenters with petabytes of space care about me?

It is a well known fact that I have been a fan of Sailor Moon for a very long time now. I will admit I was confused at first over the fan community. That was more or less because of my life experiences at the time. For quite awhile I only ever watched Sailor Moon in Hangul. (People were upset of the edits done here in America?) I started reading fanfics and people were using Nihongo words and stuff. I was pretty confused at first, but then I never thought that Sailor Moon characters fighting WWE superstars was ever cannon.

In bringing up Artemis's Lover I was making what I thought was a very obvious point and a very subtle one. (I will admit that at the time I originally wrote this soliloquy way, way back in 2010 I was going off a five year old memory. Admittedly I haven't read Artemis's Lover since then.) First, as horrific a fanfic Artemis's Lover was, the riffers didn't get personal with the writer. Except for one line delivered by a character that would have said it anyway. Heck, I don't remember all that much commentary about spelling and grammar. It was all about the plot, jumping from one unrelated thought to another, and how everybody was just accepting all the stuff the writer was making them do.

Compare that to the vicious lies, smears, and personal attacks by cyberbullies on kids over not keeping their fanfics letter perfect to the game's cannon.

The other point I was trying to make, perhaps I was too subtle in making it, was here is the second best way to handle stuff like Artemis's Lover. (The best way is to ignore it. It works. If the riffers had ignored it we all would have been spared, more than likely the writer would have given up do to lack of attention. I've seen it happen. That isn't what happened and comedy gold ensued.) Instead of going to sites that you hate and repost stuff to your web site and say things like “fuck you, fuck this, fuck that, piece of shit, and retarded;” instead how about giving it the RSKT3 treatment? Why not have Freudia, Michael, and Grolla reading fanfics and poking fun at lines like “Out pooped Sailor Mercury?” Or you could do what this one guy did, he took some guy's Sonic comic which stared the writer as some self inserted god mod character and added silhouettes of Space Ghost and crew making fun of it.

I've never said you should go and read Artemis's Lover. You know what, you should, and the related commentary. If you are someone that is thinking of writing a fanfic, Artemis's Lover is many lessons rolled up into one. How not to write one, How not to react, How to react (by writers and crtitcs alike.)

You may in fact have the potential to write the next Video Night at Mako-chan's or Hell Bent. Someday you may graduate into Harry Potter, Discworld, or Clan of the Cave Bear. Keep in mind, there are those that will make fun of you, even those that will hate you with a blind seething passion and say things like: “fuck you, fuck this, fuck that, piece of shit, and retarded.”

Good luck.

By the way, one thing I have said is what RKS needs, is yuri.

You're overreacting to what is nothing more than good natured teasing among friends. Lighten up, take that stick out of your ass and learn to have a good time.

I have been around the Net a long time now and one of the more funny things I have seen is how people get so incensed over what someone said 15, 10, 5 and a half years ago. I'm not talking a couple of ex-celebrities that had court documents released revealing bad stuff about them. I'm talking about maybe a nobody that had something on the World Wide Web the whole time. Funnier still are the people that get so upset over it talk like it was posted yesterday. Then people will write their posts and comments as if the person they are raking over the coals is actually reading what it is they are writing. Even going so far as to talk to the individual they are trashing as if they are expecting a response to it.

Now to the main point. I have been around the world enough times to know that groups of people will refer to themselves by certain words and phrases that people outside of that group may find offensive. To these groups calling a kid a "retarded manchild" maybe is a term of endearment. Then cyberstalking and terrorizing a child be ripping graphics off of his site and posting to one that allows unfettered commentary and demand that child be trolled off the Net is just some "good natured teasing."

If you're trying to grow a brand, is this what you want newcomers to see? Sure you will get some people who like this kind of hatred and bigotry, but how long can you maintain interest by doing that? People like me just turn around and walk right on out. Been on these sites enough times to know that no matter how factual you are, you will be ignored, deleted, decimated, rewritten, taken out of context, or even have stuff invented about you.
